“Chinese Bridge” Experience-oriented Online Group Study Camp Program 2022

Jilin Agricultural University (JLAU) is located in Changchun, the capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province. It is a university jointly built by Jilin Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. After years of efforts, JLAU has established an all-round high-level education and training system for overseas students relating to agriculture. Moreover, it is also a director member of Belt and Road/ South-South Cooperation Agricultural Education, Science and Technology Innovation League (BRSSCAL), a vice chairman member of China-Africa Research Center for the Development of Green Agriculture, and the first provincial university in Jilin Province to implement national-level foreign aid training programs.

       I. Program Overview

“Study in China and Experience Agricultural Culture” is a “Chinese Bridge” experience-oriented online group study camp program sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education and implemented by JLAU.This Program is intended to meet the needs of overseas students for learning practical Chinese language and further experiencing Chinese agricultural culture through activities themed with Chinese language teaching and agricultural culture. These activities will be launched in forms of live broadcast course, online experience, real-time interaction and so on.

This two-week program is free of charge for all participants. Any participant who successfully finishes relevant courses will be granted an electronic certificate of course completion by the Chinese Bridge of CLEC. All African students who are interested in Chinese language and culture are favorably welcomed to join this Program!

       II. Program Schedule

This two-week program starts on February 15, 2022 and ends on February 28, 2022.

14:10 to 17:20 (Beijing Time) from Monday to Friday

       III. Teaching Method

Online teaching on “Chinese Plus” platform (https://www.chineseplus.net/)

       IV. Candidates

1. International students from overseas Confucius Institutes;

2.International students from overseas partnership colleges and universities;

3. Foreigners who are interested in Chinese culture and language.

Note: The African candidates will be given priority when applying for admission but no limit is set to the age of candidates. Any applicant without any knowledge on Chinese language or with certain proficiency in Chinese language is allowed to apply for this Program.

      VI. Application Method

1. Register an account and log in the JLAU International Student Application System (http://jlau.liuguanbao.com).

2. JLAU will review the application for admission and contact the students to notify the commencement of this Program after “Application Status” in the system shows “Accepted”.

3.Application deadline: February 10, 2022

   VII. Course Arrangement

Note: The above schedule is for your reference only. The actual teaching sequence and duration may be slightly adjusted according to actual situations. Please follow the final version issued before the commencement of this Program.

       VIII. Attentions

1. The program sponsor will bear all expenses of this Program and any participant need not pay for it.

2. Study visa and accommodation are not involved in this Program. Therefore, relevant services or documentations will not be provided.

3. An electronic certificate of completion will be granted to the participants who have successfully finished all relevant courses.
