Located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province, Jilin Agricultural University is a key university of Jilin Province built by the People's Government of Jilin Province with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The university has 22 departments, a graduate department and a direct teaching department. It is the first batch of universities in China to have the right to grant bachelor's and master's degrees, and the first batch of universities in the provincial institutions to obtain doctoral degree awarding authority. JLAU has a teaching staff of 1,783 and 27,011 full-time students. JLAU has implemented the strategy of opening-up and unceasingly broadened educational dimensions, and set up bilateral exchange and cooperation relationships with 100 universities and research institutes abroad in 31 countries, such as the U.S., Italy, Zambia, etc. Moreover, it is a member university of the Chinese side of the "China-Africa Universities 100 Cooperation Plan," and it is also a director member of the Belt and Road South-South Cooperation Agricultural Education, Science and Technology Innovation League (BRSSCAL), a vice chairman member of the China-Africa Research Center for the Development of Green Agriculture, and is the first provincial university in Jilin Province to carry out state-level foreign aid training and the first overseas human resources training unit in the country to "go out." JLAU partners with the Confucius Institute in Agricultural Science and Technology at the National University of Lesotho in Lesotho. On behalf of the Chinese Government, JLAU constructed one of the first China Aid Program Agricultural Technology Demonstration Centers in Zambia, which has been known as the ‘South-South Cooperation Model’.

For the 2027-2028 academic year, Jilin Agricultural University is eligible to recommend five applicants to the China Scholarship Council. The specific number of admissions is subject to approval from the China Scholarship Council.

Ⅳ. Eligibility Criteria
1.Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health are eligible to apply.
2.The applicant must be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree under the age of 35 when applying for a Master’s program;The applicant must be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral program.
3. Language Requirements
Applicants selecting Chinese-taught programs must reach Level 4 of the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK Level 4) in terms of Chinese proficiency. Those who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university with Chinese as the medium of instruction are not required to provide the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) certificate.
Applicants selecting English-taught program must meet at least one of the following conditions: native English; official English; major English; TOEFL 85 or above or IELTS 6.0.
4.Meet the admission requirements of Jilin Agricultural University in terms of academic ability, language ability and other relevant conditions.

(II) Application Procedure
1. Application in the CSC system: Login to the Management Information System of Chinese Government Scholarships for Studying in China https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn, select TypeB, and enter the accepting organization No. 10193 (Jilin Agricultural University), fill in the information and submit it online, and then download the Application Form of the Chinese Government Scholarship. After submitting the registration information, applicants are required to send the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form to the official email address of the International Student Admissions Office of Jilin Agricultural University, shown below: aboard@jlau.edu.cn
Note: Please see Annex Ⅲ for the system application instructions.
2. University system application (very important): After completing the application on the CSC website, you must also submit the application in the University application system (http://jlau.liuguanbao.com), and the relevant documents must be exactly the same as those in the CSC system (Note: If you do not apply on the website of Jilin Agricultural University, we will not be able to accept your application).
3. Preliminary review: Adhering to the principle of “individual application, school recommendation, expert review, and selective admission,” this program is aimed at selecting international students with excellent academic backgrounds, professional capabilities, and future development potential. The application will be reviewed in accordance with the enrollment requirements, and then the academic schools will review the application.
4. Academic review: Around March 15, 2027, each academic school will organize experts review to comprehensively evaluate the applicant's academic ability, language proficiency, educational background, and development potential through interviews or written tests.
5. Issuance of pre-admission notice: The University will issue pre-admission notices to applicants who have passed the academic review of the University on the basis of merit. Applicants who have got the pre-admission qualification must log in the Management Information System of Chinese Government Scholarships for Studying in China (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn) again before March 28, 2027 to submit the pre-admission notice and other required materials.
VI. Other Notes
1. Jilin Agricultural University will send the pre-admission notice via email by March 28, 2027. Failure to receive the pre-admission notice will be considered as failure to receive the recommendation from the University. The final result of the program will be announced in July or August 2027. Please be patient.
2. Applicants must ensure the authenticity of the application documents and will be disqualified if the materials are found to be inaccurate.
3. Chinese Government Scholarship students are not allowed to receive other scholarships (excluding all kinds of one-time awards) established by local governments and domestic universities at the same time. Once discovered, the qualification of Chinese government scholarship will be canceled, and the awarded Chinese government scholarship must be returned. Those who intentionally conceal their financial support will not be allowed to apply for Chinese Government Scholarships for three years, including the disqualification of their applications.
4. Each academic school interviews applicants by phone or online, so please make sure that the phone number and e-mail address in the application form are correct.
5. All applications must be submitted online. E-mail applications or paper applications will not be accepted.
6. Please be sure to provide a correct e-mail address and mailing address. We will confirm each item of important information via e-mail, so be sure to check it daily.
7. Jilin Agricultural University has not authorized any individuals or intermediaries to conduct the enrollment of Chinese Government Scholarship students.
